Who we are

The Think-Reason-Learn API is provided by Vela Partners Management, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, of 1 Ferry Building, Suite 201, San Francisco, CA 94111, United States (“we”). These terms cover the API at api.thinkreasonlearn.com, the web console, and our models when you call them through OpenRouter (together, “the service”).

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. If you use the service for a company or other organization, you agree to these terms for it, and you confirm you are allowed to.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Please read it alongside these terms.

The service

We offer pretrained prediction models, such as the LinkedIn viral post predictor, that return a score and the checks behind it. You can call them over HTTP at /v1/predict or the OpenAI-compatible /v1/chat/completions, try them in the console playground, or call them through OpenRouter.

The service is in beta. It is provided as it is and as available. We may change, pause or stop any part of it.

Accounts and organizations

  • You must be 18 or over to use the service, and you must not use it if the law where you are, or US, UK or EU sanctions, forbid you from using it.
  • Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your sign-in secure. You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google or GitHub.
  • Credits, API keys and usage belong to an organization. Its owners decide who is a member, and are responsible for what members do with it.

API keys

An API key is shown once, when you create it. We store only a hash of it and can't show it again. Keep your keys secret and don't put them in code that others can see. You are responsible for requests made with your keys, including the credits they use. If a key may have leaked, revoke it in the console straight away.

Credits and payment

  • The service is paid for with prepaid credits in US dollars. You can top up between $5 and $50 at a time.
  • When you verify your email address, your organization receives $1 of welcome credit, once per person.
  • Credits don't expire.
  • Each model's price is shown on its model page. Where a price varies, the page shows how and the most a request can cost. While a request runs, we may hold credit against your balance to cover it.
  • Failed requests are not charged.
  • Payments are taken by Stripe through LLMpreneur Pay, Vela Partners' payment service, and your receipt shows “Vela Partners”. We never see your full card number.
  • We may change prices. We will give notice before a price increase applies. A request is charged at the price in effect when it is made.

Refunds

You may ask us to refund unused purchased credits. We may grant a refund at our discretion if you ask within a reasonable time of the purchase. Welcome credit is not refundable. Credits left in an organization when it is deleted are not refunded, so ask before you delete it.

If a payment is refunded or reversed, including by a chargeback, we remove the matching credits from your balance. If those credits have already been used, we may suspend the organization until the balance is settled.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away any refund rights your local law gives you.

Acceptable use

When you use the service, you agree not to:

  • send illegal content or use the service for anything illegal;
  • try to extract, copy or reconstruct a model's checks or weights, or reverse engineer the models;
  • scrape the platform or the console;
  • resell or redistribute access to the service, except through channels we have approved, such as OpenRouter;
  • get round rate limits, credit holds or other limits, for example by spreading requests across keys or organizations;
  • use a model's output to make, or as a significant part of, a decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a person, such as decisions about employment, credit or housing;
  • send content meant to interfere with the service or other people's use of it.

Respect other people's rights and third-party terms. In particular, only submit LinkedIn profiles you are entitled to look up. The LinkedIn viral post predictor (with account) reads the public profile and recent public posts of the account you give it.

If you find a security problem, please tell us at security@thinkreasonlearn.com. Testing that could harm the service or other people's use of it is not allowed.

What the scores mean

A score is a probabilistic estimate produced automatically by a model. It can be wrong, incomplete or biased. It is not advice, and it is not a judgment of anyone's ability, character or prospects. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.

Your content

Your inputs and outputs stay yours. You give us permission to process each input only to produce its answer. We don't store your inputs or outputs and we don't train on them, as the privacy policy explains. As between you and us, you may use the outputs you receive for any lawful purpose, subject to these terms.

You are responsible for having the right to send each input. If you use the service for a business and someone makes a claim against us because of your inputs or because you broke these terms, your business will cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

Rate limits and model updates

  • Each API key is limited to 60 requests a minute by default. We may set different limits for a key or organization.
  • We update models over time. Each response names the model release that produced it, so results from different releases can differ. We may retire a model.

If you use our models through OpenRouter

Your account, billing and any refunds are handled by OpenRouter under its own terms. Our acceptable use rules, and the privacy policy for the requests we serve, still apply.

Suspension and ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account, organization or API key if it breaks these terms, is used for abuse, puts the service or others at risk, or if we stop providing the service. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as those on responsibility, ownership and the law that applies, continue after that.

Ownership and feedback

The service, its models, their checks and weights, and the console belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you no rights in them beyond using the service. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, with no obligation to you.

No warranty

As far as the law allows, we give no promises or warranties about the service, whether express or implied, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or suitable for a particular purpose.

Responsibility

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for any loss of profits, data, business or opportunity, or for any decision made using a score. Our total responsibility to you for anything to do with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, and for damage to your device caused by digital content we supply; the limits above do not apply to that.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use the service as a consumer, these terms do not take away any rights your local law gives you.

Everything else

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. For a change that significantly affects your rights, we will show a notice on this page at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a company that takes over the service. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

These terms are governed by the law of California. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Otherwise, disputes go to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California. Before starting a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it.
